Stonebond signs up to MukAway platform

Stonebond has officially signed up to the MukAway platform, strengthening its operational capability across the Midlands and North West and marking another step forward in the adoption of digital material exchange within the construction sector.
The agreement will see Stonebond utilise MukAway across its regional projects, enabling more efficient movement of materials while reducing cost and improving sustainability outcomes.
MukAway continues to gain momentum across the UK, with a growing network of live sites actively transacting materials. In less than six months the company has established a strong presence in the Midlands and North West – creating a dense, highly active material marketplace, allowing contractors to match supply and demand in real time.
Rob Sidwell, Commercial Director at Stonebond, said: “We’ve been watching the development of MukAway closely, and what’s clear now is that this isn’t just potential, it’s already happening. There are real transactions taking place on live sites, and that’s what gives us confidence in the platform.
“The density of projects across the Midlands and North West makes it a natural fit for us. Being able to tap into an active network where materials are already moving creates immediate commercial and operational benefits.”
Adam Coates, Technical Director at Stonebond, added:
“From an operational perspective, the strength of the MukAway network is a major advantage. It’s not just about technology, although we’ve been impressed with the functional aspect of the system, it is about having the right sites, in the right locations, at the right time and MukAway has that.
“Fraser and the team have clearly built that network, and we see a real opportunity to improve efficiency across our projects while reducing unnecessary waste and cost.”
MukAway’s platform enables housebuilders, contractors, civil engineers, developers, and infrastructure providers to connect surplus and required materials across active sites, reducing the need for disposal while cutting down on import costs.
The platform is rapidly becoming a key tool for construction businesses looking to drive both commercial and environmental performance across their projects.
Fraser Linaker, CEO of MukAway, said: “We’re delighted to welcome Stonebond onto the MukAway platform. This is another strong signal to the market that the industry is moving beyond the old ways of working when it comes to material strategies. There are real, commercial transactions happening every day through our network.
“Our growth in the Midlands and North West has created a highly active regional marketplace, and bringing Stonebond into that ecosystem only strengthens it further as we push the business across the UK.
“ESG and sustainability are important to us and Stonebond, but we know there are clear commercial savings available through the platform, and we’re looking forward to supporting the team as they come on board. We also look forward to welcoming the wider group onto the system in the future, with onboarding set to begin shortly.”
